Shane Warne of Rajasthan Royals scored 76 of 49 balls with the help of 5 sixes and as many 5 fours.
Other prominent players batsman was R.A. Jadeja with 36 runs.
Brett Lee, Sreesanth, James Hopes and Irfan Pathan took one wicket each for Kings XI Punjab.
Earlier Kings XI Punjab after winning the toss elected to bat and made 166 runs in 20 overs.
Captain Yuvrab Singh remained the top scorer for Kings XI Punjab with 57 runs of 34 balls. Karan Goel made runs 26 and Piyush Chawla 24.
